During a period of Christmas holidays, a time in which Foz do Arelho was peacefully lulled by the cold and the sea waves, the idea that it was possible to do more for the land that took me in started to bubble up.
I bring 29 years at TAP Air Portugal with me, 26 of which I spent in the commercial department, where I worked as an account manager for travel agencies and touristic operators. In the last three years, in the company’s marketing department, I performed tasks regarding the development of partnerships and exchanges and was part of the team that developed the company’s marketing project.
Inside my baggage I also include a degree in Tourism Marketing at ESTM, where I started a master’s degree in marketing and tourism promotion and the Blog Teresa Vai de Férias, of four years and of which I’m a founder https://teresavaideferias.
blogspot.com/. This year, the blog gave rise to a book with the same name that is for sale at the moment, exclusively online.
Teresa Vai de Férias food, wine and tours was born in Foz do Arelho as a tourism animation project that seeks to promote products from the West as well as local companies and brands.
This is a simple and unifying concept, Differentiating in the way that, through tourism, it seeks to develop a close relationship with those who visit us, while promoting the dissemination and promotion of everything that characterizes us locally. It aims for the development of successful partnerships in which brands and companies are involved and disseminated, in a joint work that can promote the West in an integrated manner.
My name is Maria de Aires Pimenta. I’m 48 years old and I’m from the city of Évora.
Since I was 4 years old, I live in Barreiro, a city that I love more and more, because it has a very hidden cultural and social side that I intend to uncover and show to whomever visits us!
I have a bachelor’s degree in Tourism. I have been working in this area for 23 years and I am increasingly more passionate about what I do and especially for my country, because I’m extremely lucky of being able to accompany groups abroad and, at this moment, I can already say “The more I travel, the more I LOVE my country”. As hobbies I like reading, waking, swimming and, of course, travelling to find out new worlds and new adventures.
